Marigold ("we", "us") sells digital money guides and printables. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our site or buy a product, why we collect it, who else handles it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

The short version

• We don't run ads, analytics or tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
• We never see or store your card details — our payment provider (Polar) handles those.
• The only personal data we hold is your email address and the details of your order, so we can deliver your download and help if something goes wrong.

What we collect and why

Order and contact information

When you buy a product, you enter your email address (and any billing details required for tax) on our payment provider's checkout page. We receive your email address and the details of your purchase — which product you bought, an order reference, and a randomly generated download token — and store them in our database. We use this to deliver your file, email your receipt and download link, and provide support or reissue a download if you ask.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Polar. Your card number and payment details are entered on Polar's secure checkout and are handled by Polar and its payment processors — they are never sent to or stored by us. Polar also handles receipts and sales tax/VAT. See Polar's privacy policy.

Technical information

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, our host automatically processes basic technical data — such as your IP address and standard request logs — to serve pages, deliver your downloads and protect the site against abuse. Your order records live in Cloudflare's database (D1) and your product files are stored in Cloudflare's object storage (R2).

Fonts

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google may receive your IP address. We don't use Google Fonts for tracking, and we set no advertising or analytics cookies of any kind.

Cookies

Marigold does not set tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Our payment provider may set cookies that are strictly necessary to run the checkout when you are on their page.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the service providers that make the shop work, and only as far as they need it:

• Polar — payment processing, receipts and tax.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, database and file storage.
• Google Fonts — serving the fonts used on our pages.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

We keep your order records for as long as needed to support your purchase (your download link does not expire, so you can re-download from your receipt) and to meet our legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to those obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, email us at the address below and we'll respond as required by law. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Those providers use recognised safeguards for such transfers.

Children

Our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
